It’s kind of like camp
for them.”
The Bendlins focus on individualized care, emphasizing one-on-one attention. Julie described their grooming approach as a “spa experience,” with treatments like blueberry facials, aromatherapy and nail buffing. She explained that she grooms one dog at a time for about an hour each to ensure a calm environment, even printing a keepsake photo for the owner afterward.
Paw Patch’s pet shop offers premium products at competitive prices, featuring trusted brands like Fromm and Mount Ruffmore Biscuits — which are crafted with wholesome ingredients like ancient grains and superfoods. “We want people to have a good reason to stop by and shop local,” said Jimmy. By curating this selection, Paw Patch ensures pet parents can provide high-quality nutrition without the premium price tag.
Their boarding program stands out for thoughtful extras like daily photos, personalized activities and special holiday-themed meals. Pets love their Thanksgiving dinners featuring turkey and dog-safe pumpkin “pie.” The family also hosts other celebrations, like a New Year’s brunch consisting of fluffy eggs, Greek yogurt, blueberries and “Champagne” made from sparkling water and broth.
