Monument Health

Each of us has the desire for comfort, care and support. When someone we love has a terminal illness, these desires become critical needs. When this happens, what we want most for our loved one is compassionate support and care that allows them to live their last days with dignity and without pain.
Hospice is not a place, it is a philosophy of care providing medical, emotional and spiritual care for patients experiencing illness in a life-limiting manner. Monument Health home hospice services provide this care for patients in the comfort of their own home.
“Compassion is the value that informs everything we do and everything we are,” said Michelle Sieveke, Director HomeCare/Hospice. “Being in a gentle, caring and familiar environment is so crucial for end-of-life patients. It’s our goal to help with restful and meaningful care, so they can spend their remaining time focused on what matters to them, which is often being together with family and loved ones.”
To help individuals recovering from illness, injury, surgery or to assist in the management of chronic conditions at a residence, Monument Health Home+ offers compassionate at-home care. Skilled nurses, therapists and aides provide personalized care, including wound care, medication management and daily living assistance in the Rapid City market, the Southern Hills and the Northern Hills. Since opening in 2007, Monument Health Hospice House has offered home-like amenities, care and comfort for patients and their families.
