Dakotah Steakhouse

From its inception, Dakotah Steakhouse has always believed that dining should be a social occasion — a time when friends, family and coworkers can enjoy great conversation over a great meal. This steakhouse, founded in 2018 by a local neurosurgeon and his wife, prides itself in supporting local artisans and staying connected to the Black Hills community. At a time when the area is growing and expanding, Dakotah Steakhouse is striving to keep the flavor of the region alive.

Inspired by the history of the area, both the aesthetics of the building and the diversity of the menu are true to its local roots — something no nation-wide franchise can duplicate. “Everything that was selected to be in here works to portray the western South Dakota way of life — the place where the prairie meets the hills,” said Regional Manager, Nate Stiefvater. “We’re extremely thankful for Rapid City, for people bringing their family and friends here for special events and celebrating with us throughout the last decade and a half. It’s been a pleasure to serve the city.”

General Manager, Kayla Myrick, pointed out that, “We’ve gotten quite a few different awards for our steaks, like all of the cooks and the prep people take great pride in serving the best, freshest food.”

Certainly, there are other steakhouses out there, but none like Dakota Steakhouse. From the first design to the actual construction, this special restaurant has focused on creating a balance between upscale dining and a casual atmosphere — crafting a chic steakhouse where the kids are welcome too. The rest is easy — buy the very best meat possible and prepare it correctly.
