For Nick Formanek and his team of electricians, grounded has more than one meaning.
Formanek Electric has won awards and recognition for their outstanding work and customer service in the Black Hills. Nick Formanek and his team of nine electricians are doing things different from most others in the construction industry today.
“We’re doing a lot of new builds, commercial remodels and commercial new construction,” says Nick. “But we still take on smaller jobs. A lady called to ask if we would come out to put in a single light fixture. Of course we’ll do that.” With an ever-increasing demand on the construction industry, many companies refuse these smaller jobs. But as Formanek Electric has grown, the company hasn’t left its smaller clients behind. “I have a hard time saying no,” Nick shares.
And Nick’s heart for serving translates into a community-first focus for his company. “Anytime anyone calls for a sponsorship, I almost always say yes. I think we’ve got something like four go karts and a handful of softball teams that we’re sponsoring,” he says. Nick goes on, “We were all recently involved in a charity golf tournament to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network, too.”
Nick points to his crew of nine capable and fun loving guys as integral to his organization’s success. “It’s a huge thing to get 130 five-star Google reviews. All of that’s based on this awesome crew.” Nick’s electricians hold themselves to a higher standard. Nick explains, “I tell the crew to carry themselves in a way that lives up to those awards and titles we’ve won. Everyone has been on board with that.”
